News Blast #6: Unit Plan and RCS Reminders

Responsive Coaching Session (RCS) to Support Growth in Domain 4!

On Tuesday, 04.17 we posted a self-guided RCS (effectively an independent, online SBS) across Google Classroom. We strongly encourage all PTs to make time to complete this RCS, as the Domain 4 benchmark for Gateway 3 is "effective."

In your Google Classroom, you can access the RCS. Once completed simply "turn in" the assignment for review and feedback by your Lead Instructor. Please contact your Lead Instructor if you have any questions about this opportunity!

NYC Men Teach Orientation Event!

The next orientation date for Collaborative members interested in joining NYCMT is
Thursday, April 26 – 6:30-8:00 (RSVP for this orientation). This orientation will be held at Life Sciences Secondary immediately following SBS.

NYC Men Teach is a mayoral initiative started in 2015 to support male teachers of color who are first-year classroom teachers. If you have already been messaged by NYC Men Teach in regards to a confirmation orientation, you still have a chance to attend!

A confirmation orientation will introduce you to the NYC Men Teach initiative and its supports of mentorship, professional development, and networking, connect with other NYC Men Teach teachers and community members, as well as allow you to officially confirm your participation.
